What’s for Dinner?

We are having French onion soup with homemade French bread and gruyere cheese and Turkey, bacon and cheddar panini sandwiches.

This I believe is my second attempt at making French onion soup but it has been so long I don’t remember how I did it or how it turned out.

Chocolate Banana Bread

This week one of my goals was to make Chocolate Banana Bread. I saw the recipe on Money Saving Mom and was looking forward to trying it.

My daughter and I worked on it this morning after Breakfast. It was super simple to make and Kathryn loved scooping and stirring..  If you are looking for a yummy chocolate and banana bread I would have to say this one is awesome. I had half a piece and it was perfect. It is also great with a little salted butter on it 🙂

In the picture you will notice little white pieces, I did not mash the banana up all the way and I think it gives a nice added texture to it.

I must not also because YES it was That good… When you put Strawberries with a homemade strawberry sauce and homemade whipped cream on top of this chocolate banana bread it is TOTALLY AWESOME lol.  Yes as I said it was that good, you should try it.

15 minute De-Clutter

Today for my 15 minute De-Clutter challenge I worked on the master bathroom cabinet. I am posting a before picture, Caution it is bad lol, But It looks much better now.

Before

I set my mind and my timer to 15 minutes, and dug in and emptied out the cabinet.  While taking everything out I put some things in the trash, organized others and started setting aside some things for a garage sale.

During- All emptyed out!

After I had everything emptied and sorted, I started organizing the things I wanted to keep and put them back in. I am happy with the results, I and excited to see what I can get done tomorrow.

After!

15 minute De-Clutter

Clutter is taking over my house! Really it could be worse but I am ready to make it way better. For the next few months I am challenging myself to De-Clutter for at least 15 minutes everyday.

I am starting in my kids room as it right now seems the most overwhelming. My 5 year old daughter Kathryn and I started on her clothes a few days ago.

She really liked trying on her clothes to see if they still for as well as having her clothes more organized.

My hopes are that I can turn my house into more of a minimalist house and less of a hoarder, junky, filled with stuff house.

I hope that as I got through this challenge and post a few pics as well that you will be inspired to pick a shelf, closet, drawer, cabinet or counter to get rid of some of your stuff too!

We are hoping to have a garage sale and then donate the rest.
